Senior Account Representative Job Description

Innovive LLC is sales and manufacturing company serving the biomedical research community. As part of our growth strategy we would like to recruit a Boston, MA Area Senior Account Representative to join our growing sales team. The territory includes Massachusetts and Maine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, identify sales opportunities at all commercial, academic and NPO research organizations
  • Gain a thorough understanding Innovive's products, services and value proposition through on the job training
  • Oversee post-sale service, training and interaction with client - our goal is to provide the best customer experience possible
  • Pursue in-depth industry and application knowledge as well as acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills
  • Participate in industry organizations, conventions, conferences, sales department meetings and external workshops

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and experience in direct sales, business development and account management
  • Experience with laboratory animal products preferred OR a background with biotech, pharmaceutical or biomedical research, animal husbandry or animal care with a desire to assist institutions with the purchase and implementation of Innovive’s equipment and services
  • Moderate financial expertise and/or an aptitude to learn and competently use company cost comparison tools in the sales process


This position reports to our VIce President of Sales. The compensation includes base salary plus commissions. Innovive offers comprehensive benefits including matched 401k plan, health and dental.

Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conceive, specify, design, test and document innovative and practical products for current and next generation capital equipment products which are used in support of biotech laboratory research.

Technical opportunities may include a wide variety of mechanical projects to deliver our customers the best in product performance and reliability. These opportunities involve supporting current or existing products, new product development and mechanical engineering support of company initiatives for highly automated production operations to advance our business performance and deliver our customers maximum value with our products.

This hands-on engineer performs tasks of a specialized professional nature requiring a varied and thorough knowledge of engineering and scientific principles, methods, and theories. A working knowledge of multiple engineering and science disciplines is required. The work normally involves conventional mechanical engineering practice which may involve occasional complex issues for which there are normally precedents or specifications. Work requires strong knowledge in the specialty area, as well as effective coordination and collaboration across functional areas within the company. Occasional to routine contacts are made with customers, vendors and subcontractors.

This engineer provides functional guidance to lower staff levels and may supervise the works of drafters, technicians and others who assist in specific assignments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience including 5 or more years of experience post bachelors.

Top candidates will also have:

Senior Electrical System Design and Control Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement "complete solution" electronic systems, power distribution, and electrical controls for current and next generation capital equipment products which are used in support of biotech laboratory research.

Specify, design and implement innovative electrical, control, and communication solutions and methods in support of company initiatives for highly automated production operations to advance our business performance and deliver our customers maximum value with our products.

Technical opportunities may include a wide variety of projects to deliver our customers the best in product system integration, product performance and reliability, environmental sensing, system control, and information and data analytics.

This hands-on engineer will create, specify, develop, design, test, and document electrical system and control solutions from concept to production. Performs work as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of the assignments. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment and sound decision making in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation of principles and practices required to solve technical problems of a complex nature. Requires use of original thinking and sound decision making often in conjunction with limited or incomplete information. A broad knowledge of multiple engineering and scientific disciplines is required. Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained engineer. Provides functional guidance to other staff classifications. Frequently acts as a project leader. May supervise other engineers and or technicians on assigned work.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience including 10 or more years of experience post bachelors. A Master's degree is a plus.

Logistics Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Logistics, Freight and Customs functions at corporate level:

  • Lead Warehousing processes and tools (racking system …)
  • Select and Manage freight forwarders
  • Propose and analyze insourcing vs outsourcing scenarios
  • Ensure customs regulation are applied and perfectly executed
  • Packaging ownership


Lead and Manage Warehousing operations for San Diego site:

  • Recruit, train and manage warehouse and drivers team

Lead 3PL selection and management:

  • Conduct RFQ for inbound flows (domestic, international), intercompany flows and outbound flows (domestic, international)

Customs and regulations:

  • Ensure suppliers tariff codes are adequate

  • Lead WMS deployment


Own packaging design and solutions:

  • Local sites operations management to ensure consistency in the methods and process and to share best practices

Effectively work with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, and Human resources

Conduct employee performance reviews for direct reports. Recruit and hire staff as required.

Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, staff, vendors, contractors and company executive personnel.

Deploy Lean Six-sigma for warehouse.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain management or a related field.

Ten (10) years experience in operations management, manufacturing management, Logistics/Transportation management, project management, regulatory understanding.
