Director of Manufacturing Operations Job Description

Innovive, a recognized leader in technology, is actively seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations, responsible for all aspects of the Company’s manufacturing and supply chain operations. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this is a key leadership position within the Company as it continues to establish itself as a leader in its industry.

The Director of Manufacturing Operations manages the manufacturing and sourcing activities for both new product introduction and management of existing products. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for working with the management team in guiding the Company’s direction, strategy, planning and execution for manufacturing operations. This includes supply chain management, production and EMS development. You will work closely with our product development team to develop and continuously improve our existing and next generation products.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategic direction and set goals for the manufacturing operations of the company, including growth management, cost, quality and delivery
  • Lead strategic sourcing for components and manufacturing services across the company including overseeing the negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership
  • Tackle and solve scaling problems that require resourcefulness, creative thinking, and collaboration across departments including accounting, customer service and Engineering
  • Optimize demand planning, purchasing and quality to hold internal product line operations and external vendors to their production plan commitment
  • Be responsible for maintaining or reducing COGS in line with margin targets while maintaining product quality.
  • Oversee reports to ensure setup, support, maintain, and improve in-house production lines in order to operate efficiently and to production plan
  • Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards. Work closely with engineering department to ensure standards are considered during all stages of the product development and manufacturing processes
  • Manage all aspects of the quality control, documentation process and related systems and tools, including the management of compliance testing and certification; Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required


Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum of combined technical and management experience in a manufacturing environment delivering products from prototype to high volume
  • Comfortable with the total life cycle analysis related to make versus buy analysis
  • Experience in the materials management of high volume plastic consumables, mechanical parts, from planning through procurement, negotiation, and execution/administration of procurement agreements
  • Proven ability to drive continuous cost improvement programs within all aspects of manufacturing and supply chain
  • Oversee quality control processes for materials and components
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to think creatively; be a self-starter working independently
  • Recruiting, hiring and management of high-performing individuals and teams
  • BS/MS in industrial or mechanical engineering, or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline
  • Experience in implementing ERP systems ideally with Netsuite

Client Service Representative Job Description

Innovive is a high growth manufacturing company serving the Biomedical Research community. We are an easygoing, casual and fun place to work. We are looking for a candidate who is looking to start their professional career as a Client Service Representative in our San Diego, CA corporate office.

You will be responsible for the overall customer experience by answering questions, resolving issues and providing sales support in an efficient, courteous and enthusiastic manner. We are looking for a candidate with the following competencies to join our team:

  • Highly motivated, confident, energetic, with a positive attitude
  • Efficient with use of time, and pays close attention to details
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, along with great listening ability
  • Patient and able to handle complaints, even when handling difficult situations

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree -- ideally in a business related field
  • Computer literate and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Netsuite experience a plus but not required)
  • Previous work experience in an office environment
