Animal Care Technician - Boston, MA & San Francisco, CA

We are looking for an Animal Care Technician. This entry-level position reports to the Manager Vivarium Solutions, and is responsible for the daily care of research animals, including feeding, watering, cage changing, maintaining a clean work environment, and monitoring the overall health of the animals. This role requires a passion for animal welfare, dedication to providing clean living spaces, and flexibility in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will function as part of a team, and your contribution will be valued. Position Responsibilities: ● Perform routine animal husbandry (cage change, food/water, health monitoring). ● Prepare and submit records, census sheets, room logs, cage cards, and inventories. ● Sanitize and decontaminate all areas of the facility. ● Follow room entry order and biosafety procedures. ● Dispose of waste following appropriate SOPs and waste streams. ● Receive, identify, and properly house incoming animal shipments according to SOPs. ● Maintain animal racks and support equipment. ● Assist with ordering, receipt, and stocking of all supply inventories. ● May perform basic animal health treatments with direction from the veterinary staff. ● Understand and follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality assurance guidelines for animal care at all levels of biohazard containment (BSLI and BSLII). ● Perform daily animal health surveillance checks and report any abnormal conditions of either the animals or the animal room environment to client, veterinary staff, and direct supervisory staff. ● Maintain a daily animal cage census in assigned animal rooms. ● Humanely euthanize animals as requested or required. ● Perform other duties under supervision, as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: ● Manual dexterity, ability to write legibly and ability to operate a computer (Office, Gmail) and telephone. ● Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision. ● Ability to understand light to moderately complex SOPs and protocols. ● Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs; bend, stoop, climb, and stand for a prolonged periods of time. ● Be able to wear full Personal Protective Equipment for several hours per day (face mask, coveralls, gloves) Education & Experience: ● Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. ● Animal husbandry experience preferred. ● Experience in animal care and/or research involving mammals. Schedule: ● Weekend and holiday work is required in this position; in addition to, extra hours during emergency situations and for study related activities. ● Schedules will be: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday Location: San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and highly competitive within industry. Customer Service Representative - South Dakota

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to build their career as a Customer Service Representative at our North Sioux City, SD facility. You would be part of a small team of Customer Service Representatives who support each other to provide the highest level of service to the customer. This position requires strong organizational and logistical skills and the ability to multitask on multiple levels. Human Resource Specialist - San Diego, CA

The HR Specialist plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for performing a variety of HR-related duties on a professional level across multiple HR functions: including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management. The HR Specialist reports to the HR Director and ensures alignment with organizational goals while providing support to both managers and employees. Position Responsibilities: ● Coordinate and manage the recruitment process including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and facilitating the finalization of employment offer letters. ● Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, benefits enrollment, and ensuring proper documentation is completed. ● Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures. ● Assist with conflict resolution, employee coaching, and performance improvement plans. ● Plan and support employee engagement initiatives and activities. ● Develop engaging onboarding and internal communications materials, including internal newsletters, flyers, digital signage (TV slides), and presentations to support company initiatives and employee engagement. ● Support employees with benefits-related questions and issues. ● Assist in payroll processing and ensure all employee records are correct and compliant. ● Assist HR Director in ensuring HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. ● Maintain employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality. ● Assist HR Director with updating and implementation of HR policies and procedures as needed. ● Support performance management processes by tracking evaluation deadlines and collecting necessary documents. ● Assist in identifying training needs and organizing appropriate programs. ● Assist with maintaining records of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses. ● Support the day to day operations of the office such as ordering supplies, keeping the office clean and organized, coordinating maintenance and arranging for repairs. ● Other duties as assigned.
